 Uli's
Famous Sausage is owned and operated by Uli Lengenberg (with
capable assistants, of course). Uli is a specially trained
and certified Meister from Westphalia Germany, an area known
locally as "Sausage Country." The son of German
restaurant owners, Uli has operated retail shops and a catering
service in Germany, as well as deli restaurants in Taipei.
He has also taught German meal preparation and bread-making.
Uli met his wife Jean while
in Taipei where she was teaching at the Taipei-American
School. She convinced him to bring his sausage making skills
to her home town of Seattle where he has now been in business
for four years.
Uli is enthusiastic about
the authenticity and quality of his sausages. In his own
words:
"We're thrilled to be part of Seattle's Pike Place
Market, an internationally-known venue for locally made
and grown products. No matter how far we reach out to customers,
one thing remains the same: We want to hear from you if
there is anything more we can do to enhance your satisfaction.
